NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An Amber Alert has been issued for a 5-year-old New Jersey girl who went missing from a park Monday evening.
Dulce Maria Alavez of Bridgeton was last seen before 5 p.m. near Bridgeton City Park.
Her mother, Noema Alavez, told police that her daughter was playing on swings in the park with her 3-year-old brother while she was about 30 yards away with an 8-year-old relative.
The mother said the 3-year-old came back to the car without his sister and they were unable to find him.
Authorities believe the child was taken by a light-skinned male about 5'6".
Police say he lured her to a red van with a sliding door and tinted windows before allegedly leaving the scene.
The search is continuing with the help of the FBI, says the Cumberland County Prosecutor.
Dulce Alavez is described as Hispanic, about 3'5" tall, last seen with a yellow shirt, black and white pants and white sandals.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call Bridgeton Police at 856-451-0033.
