NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- U.S. Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett 'worked harder than anyone' at Notre Dame law school, says Long Island congressman Peter King's daughter, former Hempstead councilwoman Erin King Sweeney, who attended the prestigious school with Barrett.
"I think it's an incredibly interesting pick," King Sweeney told News 12 of Barrett, who Trump on Saturday announced as his SCOTUS nominee pick to fill the seat left vacant by Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
King Sweeney added, "She was just known (at Notre Dame) as crazy smart Amy Coney. She was the smartest person in the room and worked harder than anyone ... Frankly, I think it would be someone, a pick that Justice Ginsburg would be proud of."
Rep. King said Barrett will be "interpreting the laws that Congress passes and what the Founding Fathers wrote in the Constitution."
