Anti-Defamation League offering $10K reward for arrests in string of anti-Semitic attacks

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The Anti-Defamation League is offering a $10,000 reward after another anti-Semitic attack was reported.

The ADL recorded at least three violent attacks against Jews in the last 72-hours. Those attacks were reported both in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

According to police, a man in a yarmulke was brutally attacked on East 41st Street and Third Avenue just after 11 a.m. on Monday in the Murray Hill neighborhood.The victim said he was looking down at his phone when someone yelled anti-Semitic and profane remarks and was then punched in the face and then kicked repeatedly. 

Police arrested 28-year-old Steven Jorge of Miami and charged with assault as a hate crime.

Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio have both released strongly worded statements condemning these anti-Semitic attacks.
