NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fired back at Ivanka Trump over comments Trump made criticizing the congresswoman's Green New Deal, which would guarantee a living wage.
"People want to work for what they get. So, I think that this idea of a guaranteed minimum is not something most people want," Trump said when asked about the proposal's job guarantee.

Ocasio-Cortez responded in a tweet, writing: "As a person who actually worked for tips & hourly wages in my life, instead of having to learn about it 2nd-hand, I can tell you that most people want to be paid enough to live."
She continued: "A living wage isn’t a gift, it’s a right. Workers are often paid far less than the value they create."
AOC went after Trump again in a follow-up tweet that mentioned Trump opposes the Green New Deal because "she feels people prefer to earn money."
"Imagine attacking a Jobs Guarantee by saying ‘people prefer to earn money,’" Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
