NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man and a woman were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide Monday night in an Upper West Side basement apartment, according to multiple reports.
The pair were reportedly found by the 72-year-old man's son, who called 911. The NYPD arrived at the scene, located on West 87th Street between Riverside Dr. and West End Ave, and discovered the bodies.
The 50-year-old woman's relationship to the man and his son was unclear. According to some reports, the woman was the latter's mother.
The NYPD's investigation is ongoing.
