NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A homeless man squatting in a Manhattan ATM vestibule was asked to leave by a bank teller, but police say that instead of packing, the man stabbed the worker with a hypodermic needle.
The attack took place at a Citibank near Broadway and West 32nd Street in midtown last Friday.
The man was reportedly trying to lay out a lawn chair in the entrance to the bank when the teller asked him to leave.
Police said the man stabbed the 58-year-old woman in the neck with a hypodermic needle.
The woman was taken to an urgent care facility. Her condition wasn’t immediately clear.
On Sunday, police said they'd charged 35-year-old Boyd Taylor with assault.
