NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Babe Ruth memorabilia auction is set for Yankee Stadium tomorrow.
A road jersey worn by Ruth from the 1920s is up for bid.
Experts say it could sell for more than the most expensive piece of sports memorabilia currently on record, which is a 1920 Ruth jersey that went for more than $4.4 million in 2012.
Other than the jersey, the most expensive item in the auction likely will be Ruth's bat from the late 1920s with eight notches to commemorate home runs he hit.
It could go from $700,000 to more than $1 million.
Hunt Auctions says the Ruth items were consigned by his family.
