
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A musical adaptation of the legendary 1980s comedy “Back to the Future” finally has a release date – seven years after it was first reported to be in the works.
The show will premiere in the U.K. in 2020, running from Feb. 20 to May 17 at the Manchester Opera House, according to Playbill.com.
The musical will be directed by Tony-winning stage director John Rando and feature a score by “Back to the Future” composer Alan Silvestri.
“Back to the Future” trilogy director Robert Zemeckis is producing the show.
Olly Dobson will star as Marty McFly, but there's no word yet on who will play Dr. Emmett Brown.
