NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Talk about fat cats.
A gigantic rescue kitty is taking his diet to Instagram to help educate people about the problem of pet obesity.

Big Barsik tips the scales at 41 lbs.
"There are a lot of variations to how pets respond to free feeding, which is what his owner must have done," Angelique Iuzzolino said.
She's taken on the big challenge of caring for Barsik for the Anjellicle Cats foster network. She said another cat from the same house was fed the same way, but maintained a normal weight.
Barsik is mostly white with a big triangle on his nose and has gotten a lot of attention on social media.
"Once we get him on the right track and start losing in a slow, steady, manageable way, then I'll start making him available for adoption," she said.
Barsik could break a record with his weight, but it's not a category anymore, so that people are not encouraged to overfeed their pets.
