NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A Black Lives Matter mural outside Trump Tower has been vandalized four times in less than a week—including twice on Saturday—and two other murals in Harlem and Brooklyn were also reportedly defaced overnight.
Two women—29-year-old Bevelyn Beatty and 39-year-old Edmee Chavannes—were arrested at the Trump Tower mural around 3 p.m. Saturday.
Bystander video showed police officers surrounding one of the women as she rubbed the paint on the mural's bright yellow letters and screamed: "they don't care about Black lives" and "refund the police."
One of the officers slipped on the paint and tumbled to the ground, sustaining injuries to his head and arm, police said. He was listed in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital.
Several hours later, police said 42-year-old Wesley Davis was shortly before 6 p.m. in a similar incident. He was allegedly seen throwing paint at the mural, according to WCBS-TV.
All three of them were charged with criminal mischief and released.

Then overnight Saturday, two murals in Harlem and Bedford-Stuyvesant were also smeared with paint—and police reportedly believe Beatty was behind both incidents.
According to WNBC, police believe Beatty smeared paint on the mural at Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard in Harlem, as well as the mural at Fulton Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Videos posted to Beatty's Facebook account appears to show the incidents in both Harlem and Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Saturday's vandalism at Trump Tower happened less than 24 hours after three people were caught on surveillance video smearing blue paint on the mural around 4 p.m. Friday while a woman littered it with flyers that referenced the recent shooting death of a 1-year-old boy in Brooklyn, police said.
They were arrested, charged with criminal mischief and released with a order to appear in court at a later date. The woman, 64, was issued a criminal court summons for illegal posting of flyers.
Meanwhile, police are continuing to look for a man in black shorts and a dark blue T-shirt who was seen splashing red paint on the Black Lives Matter mural at Trump Tower around noon on Monday.
