NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Michael Bloomberg on Tuesday headed to Arizona, where he filed the paperwork to be on the state's Democratic primary ballot and met with voters about his presidential run.

The former New York City mayor stopped by the Phoenix Mexican restaurant Rosita's Place, where he sat with diners.
"Arizona is a crucial battleground state, but I know you don't often see presidential candidates around here," Bloomberg said. "The fact is: President Trump is about the only one spending money here and in swing states around the country – and that's a big problem for our party."

Several tweets posted to his campaign's account also addressed Arizona voters.
"Democrats have a great chance to win Arizona, and turn it from red to blue – and that's what Mike is working to do as he stops in Phoenix to meet with voters and file to get on the ballot. #Bloomberg2020," read one tweet.
Another tweet read, "America needs someone who is ready to take on the tough fights – and win. Mike is that person, and he has officially filed in Arizona to be on the ballot for the Democratic primary."
