NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A body was found floating in the East River near the Queensboro Bridge on Tuesday morning, the NYPD said.
Harbor officers responding to a 911 call around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday found the male body floating in the vicinity of the bridge, near Manhattan, police said.
The person, whose name and age weren’t immediately released, was pronounced dead at the East 34th Street marina, the NYPD said.
The city’s Medical Examiner will determine how the person died, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
