The chef, author and TV host killed himself on June 5, 2018. His friends and fans are celebrating his life on his birthday Tuesday with "Bourdain Day."
Two of Bourdain's closest friends, chefs José Andrés and Eric Ripert proclaimed June 25 "Bourdain Day" and are asking anyone influienced by Bourdain to share a toast online.
Bourdain was found dead in his hotel room in France while working on his CNN series on culinary traditions. He was 61.
