FREEHOLD, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- The boyfriend of a missing New Jersey woman was found dead at his parents home Friday morning after he hanged himself, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.
"The Medical Examiner has determined the cause and manner of death for John Ozbilgen was a suicide by hanging," the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said in a statement. "Ozbilgen was found deceased at his Freehold Township home this morning. Ozbilgen was recently released from jail after being charged with Possession of Child Pornography. Investigation remains active. More information will be released as it becomes available.
Ozbilgen was recently named a person of interest in the disappearance of Stephanie Parze by Monmouth County prosecutors
Officials say Parze, 25, disappeared after she dropped her parents off at their house after a family night out on Halloween Eve.
Searches have led authorities across state lines and Thursday, a group of about 100 people searched a wooden area close to Parze's home in Freehold Township, New Jersey.
Ozbilgen was ordered to be released from jail in connection with an unrelated child pornography case. The same day, he was named a person of interest in the disappearance of Parze, who he had dated for several months.
