NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Cardi B had her day in court.
The Bronx rapper born Belcalis Almanzar and two others were indicted by a Queens grand jury Tuesday on attempted assault, harassment, conspiracy and other charges relating to a brawl at a Flushing strip club last August.
Cardi B pleaded not guilty to the charges during her arraignment at Queens Criminal Court.
Authorities say the rapper ordered an attack on two women bartenders and allegedly threw a bottle at them. They say she believed one of the women had been hooking up with her then-husband, Offset.
Cardi B, born turned down the offer of a plea deal that would have resulted in her conditional discharge.
She is charged with assault in the third degree, along with Tawana Jackson-Morel and Jeffrey Bush.
"The defendants in this case are accused of two premeditated attacks on two women working at a club in Queens last summer," said acting Queens DA John M. Ryan. "The victims allegedly had glass bottles hurled at them, alcoholic drinks thrown in their faces and one woman's head was slammed into the bar. This kind of violence won't be tolerated in our community. The defendants will be held accountable for their alleged actions."
According to the indictment, the defendants allegedly used social media chats to plan the August 29 attack, as they had for the earlier alleged assault.
Cardi B told fans at a concert on Saturday night, "I ain't going to jail. I got a daughter."
