NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Cardi B has thrown her support behind fellow Bronx native Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to run for president once the congresswoman turns 35 in 2024.
"She better run for president when she turns 35," Cardi B tweeted early Saturday morning, in response to a fan sharing an Instagram story AOC posted late Friday night about having dental insurance -- while Cardi B's Bodak Yellow played in the background.
According to the U.S. Constitution, a presidential candidate must be 35 years of age or older.
AOC responded to Cardi B's tweet, writing, "Women Against Patriarchy (WAP) 2020," a reference to the singer's hit track "WAP." The song's title, however, stands for something vulgar.
In a series of Instagram stories, AOC explains how she is getting braces, and extols the virtues of dental insurance for hospitality workers.
