STAMFORD, Conn. (1010 WINS) -- Gov. Ned Lamont reported 79 additional COVID-19 coronavirus deaths on Thursday as the death toll climbs to 2,797 statewide.
There were also 789 new cases in the past day, bringing the statewide totals to 31,784.
Currently, there are 1,385 hospitalized patients and a total of 5,413 patients have been discharged from hospitals, Lamont said.
Lamont also unveiled the seven criteria set needed in order begin Phase 1 of reopening the state, which includes a 14-day decline of hospitalization, sufficient contact tracing capacity, an adequate number of PPE, and appropriate workplace safeguards.
