NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Hillary Clinton responded to the doctored video of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that Donald Trump and others shared on social media this week, accusing the president of spreading "sexist trash."

"My take on Trump and his cronies spreading that doctored video of Nancy Pelosi: It's sexist trash," the former secretary of state said Saturday at the Harris County Democratic Party's annual luncheon in Houston.

She added: "It's also a sign that Trump is running scared."

The remarks were in response to a tweet President Trump posted on Thursday that included an edited video that made Pelosi look incoherent.

"PELOSI STAMMERS THROUGH NEWS CONFERENCE," he wrote.

Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, responded to criticism of the video on Twitter, writing a disjointed tweet that started with "ivesssapology."

Pelosi's deputy chief of staff, Drew Hammill, then mocked Giuliani, retweeting the comment and adding, "No further comment needed."

Giuliani followed his response up with another tweet saying Pelosi should "withdraw her charge" that Trump needs an "intervention."
