NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Looking ahead at next week's Republican National Convention -- which kicks off virtually and in Charlotte on Monday -- White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said Friday at the White House, "we definitely want to improve on the dour and sour mood of the DNC."
The Democratic National Convention wrapped up Thursday night.
Conway said the country's opioid epidemic will be one of the topics raised at the convention.
"You will hear an awful lot about the great strides we are making about the poly-drug crisis we see and opioids," she said. "You will hear that from people who have been immeasurably effected by it."
And taking aim at the DNC, she said, "The two most popular words at the Democratic convention were not 'Joe Biden,' they were 'Donald Trump.'"
