NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police said a 25-year-old drunk man was on the tracks at the 6th Avenue station in Manhattan Tuesday afternoon, prompting L train service between Manhattan and Brooklyn to be suspended.
The man was transported to Bellevue Hospital, police said.
Initially, the MTA tweeted service was suspended "because someone was struck by a train at 6 Av."The MTA initially tweeted at 3:13 p.m., "There is no L train service between 8 Av and Bedford Av in both directions because someone was struck by a train at 6 Av."
By 3:44 p.m., L train service had resumed -- but with "extensive delays," the MTA said.
