NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson is hardly a wallflower: From struggling with addiction and staying sober to living with HIV to being single, he's taken to social media to discuss many facets of his personal life.
So it comes as no surprise that Johnson, 37, posted a photo on Instagram Thursday around midnight of a hunky, shirtless man, simply captioning it, "Thursday night..."
Immediately, tongues started wagging and his followers begged to know who this man was.
Well, fast forward several hours, and Johnson revealed who the mystery man is: It's filmmaker and fashion photographer Ernest J. Martin, 33.
And their relationship status? "We've been dating, not that long, but it's going well," Johnson told The New York Post, adding that the pair have been dating for a month and a half.
Johnson attributed the posting of the photo to his blissful state, telling the Post, "How many of us have felt sort of excited about someone new in our life and posted it?"
While Johnson circulates more in the political world, Martin's world is more celeb-focused: He's worked with Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and other public figures, as well as shooting campaigns for Carolina Herrera and Bergdorf Goodman.
It wasn't too long ago that Johnson tweeted about the "loneliness" from being single.
"As a single in the city - I continue to believe in finding that special long term mate," he wrote on June 1, seemingly shortly before he began dating Martin. "Sometimes when I slow down & stop workin for a few days, loneliness can hit me like a small wave but it's important to have hope & be open to possibilities. I'm still searching my Prince!"
The looming question: Is the search over?
