HARTFORD (1010 WINS) – Gov. Ned Lamont said Connecticut reported more than 600 new coronavirus cases Saturday, with the state's total number of cases approaching 25,000.

Lamont said 661 new cases brought the total to 24,582 statewide.
He said anther 98 deaths had been reported in the state since Friday, bringing the death toll to 1,862.
Across the state, 1,810 patients are currently hospitalized, Lamont said.
Fairfield County continues to have the most cases and deaths—10,373 and 689, respectively.
New Haven County is the second-hardest hit, with 6,509 cases and 416 deaths.
Hartford County has 4,761 cases and 553 deaths.
