NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A woman reportedly lost control of her minivan and crashed into a cafe where Cory Booker was holding a campaign event.
Booker was speaking at an event about voting rights at the Miami Soul Cafe on Sunday afternoon when the out-of-control minivan veered into the building, according to CBS Miami.
Photos and video posted by Miami Herald reporter David Smiley show the gray minivan wedged up against the building.
Booker and others had to be evacuated from the location, although the Justice For All event eventually resumed.
CBS Miami reports that the woman had to be removed from the vehicle by rescue workers and that her condition is not known.
