NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- During his daily coronavirus briefing, Gov. Andrew Cuomo says there are now 15 prioritized COVID-19 testing sites across for individuals in New York City who participated in recent protests.
The governor urged anyone who participated in protests to get tested and announced that the city will be conducting 35,000 tests per day as Phase 1 of reopening begins.
The testing will focus on the four hot-spot neighborhoods across the city.
Cuomo also announced that the state is authorizing local governments to extend the deadline for filing property tax abatements by 90 days.
He also said New York City can now resume scheduling elective surgeries at city hospitals.
