NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Mayor Bill de Blasio added fuel to the fire in his feud with President Trump, saying the president will not be welcome back in his hometown of New York City "when his presidency is over really soon."

De Blasio made the comments Thursday night while challenging Trump to meet him for a debate about the city hosted by Buzzfeed.

"I challenge you to come to New York City. I will debate you about what's right for New York City," de Blasio, who is running for president, said to cheers.

"He doesn't understand New York City. And when his presidency is over really soon, he will not be welcome back in New York City," de Blasio continued.

The two politicians have been feuding for months, with Trump calling de Blasio "the worst mayor ever" and de Blasio calling Trump "Con Don" the "con artist." Earlier this week, the mayor said Trump "knows nothing about his hometown" and "never lived a real New York City life."
