NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —Mayor Bill de Blasio told Long Island native and World Cup soccer star Allie Long not to worry after her key was stolen from her hotel room in Los Angeles, where she was appearing at the ESPY awards.

Long tweeted, "Do you make copies @NYCMayor? I would love a new one."

De Blasio responded Friday morning, saying, "Don't worry about the key. Like any good New Yorker, we keep a spare for our neighbors! We got you covered."

Law enforcement officials say her room at the Ritz-Carlton was burglarized on Thursday afternoon, and her wedding ring, worth $15,000 was taken, along with the key, reports TMZ.

Long and the entire U.S. women’s team won the best team award at the ESPYs.
