NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials say an intoxicated man that was struck by a downtown E train at Penn Station after falling Wednesday night, has miraculously survived despite being seriously injured.The Daily News reports that just before 8 p.m., some witnesses saw the 34-year-old man stumbling on the platform and "then all of a sudden, he was underneath the train," one witness said.Police say the train’s conductor pulled the emergency break.According to the report, another witness said "about three cars rolled over" the man
Officers went down into the tracks with a flashlight in order to try and reach him.EMS transported the man, who suffered a cut to his back, to Bellevue Hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries, police said.
