NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The manhunt for a federal inmate who escaped custody in Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon is over: The man was captured in Sunset Park a few hours later.

The NYPD had told 1010 WINS that the man was in federal -- not NYPD -- custody.

1010 WINS has reached out to the Federal Bureau of Prisons for comment.

According to WABC, the man was last seen in front of 170 26th Street in the borough's Greenwood Heights neighborhood shortly before 4:30 p.m.

That address is a residence.

He was handcuffed and last wearing all black when he escaped.
