Former U.S. Olympian faces charges of attempted murder in NJ

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A former member of the U.S. Olympic dressage team is facing charges of attempted murder in New Jersey.

Michael Barisone, 54, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Washington Township after police received a 911 call about a woman with gunshot wounds.


The shooting was at an equestrian center on West Mill Road owned by Barisone.

Authorities also found an injured man at the scene.

They did not identify the victims or how seriously they may have been hurt.

Barisone participated in the 2008 Olympics and is an active member of the United State Equestrian Federation.
