NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A gunman walked into a apartment building and changed into an "I ♥ pot" t-shirt after he fatally shot a 27-year-old man in the Bronx on Sunday, surveillance videos released by the NYPD show.
The first surveillance video released by police shows the gunman shoot a man identified by police as Rivera Ezequiel, 27, in the chest in front of a building on Bruckner Boulevard, near Rosedale Avenue, in the Soundview section of the Bronx around 9:15 a.m. on Sunday.
The video shows Rivera running away after the gunman shoots him, but police said he was later taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.
A second surveillance video shows taken after the shooting shows the gunman walk into a nearby building on Story Avenue, between Taylor and Rosedale avenues, wearing the same blue sweatshirt he was wearing when he shot Rivera, the NYPD said.
Not long after, the gunman walks out of the building wearing a shirt with an "I ♥ pot" logo, the video shows.
Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
