
PARAMUS, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Commuters can expect heavy traffic in Paramus starting Monday, as the right lane of Route 4 westbound will be closed.According to the New Jersey Department of Transportation, PSE&G plans to permanently transfer wires from temporary poles to new poles daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., until Friday.Ramps to and from Paramus Road will be also be shut, including Paramus Road northbound to Route 4 westbound and the ramp from Route 4 westbound to Paramus Road southbound.The project began in January, when utility poles and wires were relocated and bridge abutments and bearings were repaired, said the DOT.
This is part of a $5 million project that replaced the deck on the Paramus Road Bridge over Route 4 back in June.
