
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Joseph Gambino, the son of reputed mob boss Carlo Gambino, died last month at the age of 83.Joseph Gambino was known for his philanthropy and for being a one-time partner in a multimillion-dollar Mafia monopoly in the Garment District, according to the Daily News.Gambino and his older brother Thomas were longtime owners and operators of several Garment District trucking companies.
Although he was part of the Gambino family, Joseph steered clear of the family business.
He is survived by his older brother Thomas, 90.
