NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Kamala Harris has reportedly chosen her Secret Service code name: "Pioneer."
The presumptive Democratic vice presidential nominee chose the name last week when she was put under Secret Service protection after Joe Biden announced that the California senator was his running mate, a law enforcement official told CNN.
"Pioneer" speaks to the historic aspect of her nomination, being the first woman of color on a major party ticket for the office of vice president.
Individuals under Secret Service protection choose their code names from a White House-approved list.
Biden's code name is reportedly "Celtic," while his wife Jill's code name is reportedly "Capri." They both reportedly had these code names during their years with the Obama administration.
As for President Trump, his code name is reportedly "Mogul" and Vice President Mike Pence's is reportedly "Hoosier."
Code names are often publicly known, but are changed over time for security reasons.
