NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Kanye West reveals to David Letterman his personal experiences with bipolar disorder in Letterman's new show, "My Next Guess Needs No Introduction" that aired Friday.

"This is like having a sprained brain like having a sprained ankle and when someone has a sprained ankle, you're not going to push on him more." Kayne said. "With us, once our brain gets to the point of spraining, people do everything to make it worse."

In episode, Letterman and West discuss family, influences and eventually what encompassed the most recent chapter of Kanye's life, mental illness. Kanye describes his past two years after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder as moments of "ramping up" and moments of chaos.

"Ramp is like when you're bipolar, if you don't take medication every day to keep you at a certain state, you have a potential to ramp up and it can take you to a point where you can even end up in the hospital." Kanye said.

Kanye was last hospitalized in 2016 for mental related illnesses.
