Hunter Waltman, 22, killed a rare white turkey prompting Olbermann, a former MSNBC political commentator, to lash out on Twitter.
In a tweet that has since been taken down, Olbermann implored followers to make Waltman's life 'a living hell.' Olbermann also called on the Clarion Ledger to fire reporter Brian Broom for writing about the kill.
Waltmann filled Broom in on what happened, and said he'd been verbally attacked as a result. Brass at the Clarion Ledger said it was Olbermann who was wrong; executive editor Sam R. Hall called the threatening message a 'fireable offense.'
