Kim and her legal team have helped 17 prisoners, serving heavy sentences for low-level drug crimes, gain their freedom, TMZ reports.

The effort over the past three months was part of the '90 Days of Freedom' campaign, which was launched by Kardashian's lawyer Brittany Barnett and lawyer MiAngel Cody. Kim has been funding the campaign which uses the First Step Act to help prisoners facing excessive sentences.

Many of the prisoners helped by Kardashian were serving life in prison for drug possession. One man, Terrence Byrd, spent 25 years in prison before being released.
