JERSEY CITY, N.J. (1010 WINS) --  Lawyer for Davonte Moore and Shyquan Rrush says officers fired on his clients from behind without ever announcing themselves as police officers.

Thomas Ashley is calling on the Hudson County prosecutor's office to perform a full investigation into the shooting. He says he expects Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop to speak publicly and condem these "unprovoked, senseless acts of violence."Hudon County prosecutors say they'll need time to investigate the actions of the three Jersey City police officers that fired their weapons in an incident that left two men wounded on Monday night.

Ashley is also calling for the officers to be suspended until a formal disciplinary hearing can be held.

"The officers never announced themselves as cops, and there's no way plausible the officers could have considered themselves in danger by fireworks being let off." Ashley said.

He also said that his clients are willing to fully cooperate with the investigate but they want justice.
