WESTBURY, N.Y. (1010 WINS) – A Long Island daycare center has been shut down after allegations of sexual abuse against the co-owner.
Suffolk County police arrested 56-year-old Jose Flores, of Brentwood, after an investigation.
Flores, who co-owns the Little Sponges Daycare center, has been accused of abusing a 7-year-old.
The state Office of Children and Family Services shut down the daycare after Flores' arrest.
He has been charged with sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
He was due in court Saturday.
