Long Island landlord allegedly offered free rent for sex amid pandemic: report

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Long Island landlord was caught offering free rent in exchange for sex during the coronavirus outbreak, according to a report.

According to a report by Inside Edition, the landlord, who they named "Eddie," posted the listing on Craigslist titled "Room Share for Submissive Female."

"During these hard times Covid-19 has thrown many in a tail spin… If you are a submissive female…and wanting to barter session/playtime once per week in lieu of rent we should talk," the ad read.

The report adds that a producer answered the ad and Eddie responded by saying he wanted to try out the "arrangement" first and asked her to meet him at a hotel room.

He added that he wanted her to wear her "hair down, no jewelry and minimal makeup."

Once "Eddie" was confronted by the TV-crew, who was asked if he was trying to take advantage of women during the pandemic.

"No. She had the choice, you know… to take up on the offer…," he answered, before adding: "I'm going to go."

"Eddie" later called the producer to apologize.
