NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Suffolk County police arrested a man they said struck two Black Lives Matter protesters with his SUV in Huntington on Monday.
Officials said he drove his Toyota RAV4 down Broadway in Huntington Station before 7 p.m. and struck both protesters who were standing in the road.
The demonstrators were transported to Huntington Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said 36-year-old Anthony Cambareri fled the scene but was arrested shortly after.
Officials charged Cambareri with third-degree assault.
