NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police arrested a knife-wielding man after he sliced a man in a subway station in Brooklyn on Monday, officials said.
According to police, 21-year-old Ricky Diaz, is facing assault and weapon possession charges after slashing 34-year-old Vedal Folks under his right eye at the Jay St.-MetroTech station in Downtown Brooklyn.
The Daily News reports that Around 3:10 p.m., in an attempt to start a fight, a drunk Folks punched Diaz in the back of the head while on the subway platform causing Diaz to brandish a knife.
Folks was taken to Methodist Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
