NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are on the hunt for a suspect in a series of Manhattan hotel rooms burglaries.

Between July 23 and Aug. 8, police say five Manhattan hotel rooms have been burglarized by an unidentified man posing as a hotel guest.

The man pretends to be a guest while housekeeping workers are cleaning rooms, and then informs the workers that he’s the resident of particular rooms, authorities say.

After he’s inside, he takes cash, jewelry, and electronics and then flees.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
