NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Bronx man who allegedly threw a brick at a police officer during a protest in May has been arrested and charged with assault, the NYPD said Monday.
Christopher Cabrera, 25, of Throgs Neck, allegedly threw a brick at a 35-year-old police officer on University Place, near 11th Street in the East Village, around 10:20 p.m. on May 30, police said.
The brick hit the officer's helmet, leaving him with a lacerated, swollen face, the NYPD said.
