NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A new map released by the city shows the ZIP codes hardest hit by the coronavirus across the five boroughs.

The map shows coronavirus has hit parts of Queens and Brooklyn especially hard; the boroughs have reported the highest number of confirmed cases.
Areas around Jackson Heights and Jamaica in Queens and around Crown Heights and Canarsie in Brooklyn are seeing high numbers of patients testing positive. The area around University Heights and Kingsbridge in the Bronx is also seeing many cases.
Manhattan and Staten Island are experiencing lower levels of patients testing positive.
The number of cases in the city as of Wednesday morning was 44,915—up 3,144 from the 41,771 reported Tuesday night.
The number of deaths in the city reached 1,139 Wednesday—up 43 from the 1,096 fatalities reported Tuesday night.
