NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The Mets have reached an agreement on a contract extension with pitcher Jacob deGrom, according to multiple reports.

Reports say the Cy Young winning right-hander is undergoing a physical on Tuesday.
In summary, per multiple sources, the Mets and Jacob deGrom are in agreement on a five year contract extension, pending physical.

The deal is said to be for 5 years and $137.5 million with a $32.5 million club option in 2024.
DeGrom made it known that he wanted a long-term deal. He was under contract for $17 million in 2019, and was under team control until 2020.
DeGrom won the Cy Young award in 2018, going 10-9 with a 1.70 ERA and 269 strikeouts.
