"My honor, my reputation, and soon my freedom," he said.

Cohen read a short statement as he left his apartment Monday morning to turn himself in.

"There still remains much to be told and I look forward to the day that I can share the truth," he said.

Cohen, 53, will report to Federal Correctional Institution Otisville, northwest of the city, to begin serving his three year sentence for tax evasion, lying to Congress, and campaign finance crimes.

His fellow inmates will include reality TV star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino and Fyre Festival founder Billy McFarland. His regimented day will include breakfast at 6 a.m., dinner at 4 p.m. and a work assignment.

Otisville was ranked by Forbes as one of 'America's 10 Cushiest Prisons.'

Cohen was expected to speak to the press before turning himself in.
