NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Is Michelle Obama the music industry's latest It Girl?

Just hours before it was announced on Thursday morning that she had snagged a Grammy nomination for best spoken word album for her book "Recording," the former first lady swung by Ellen DeGeneres' home and had a duet with the talk show host.

"Last night, I dropped by my friend Ellen’s house for a little duet," Obama tweeted. DeGeneres tweeted,"we're thinking about putting out a whole album."

In a video the pair posted to social media, they sing a medley about Obama's latest literary release, "Becoming: A Guided Journal for Discovering Your Voice."

At the start of the video, DeGeneres is sitting at the piano, and begins to sing "Michelle Obama has a new book," but Obama then walks in and interrupts, "It's actually a journal!" Both then proceed to sing the tune, which goes like this:

DeGeneres: Michelle Obama has a new book…
Obama: It’s actually a Journal!
DeGeneres: What’s it called?
Obama: It’s the Becoming Journal. [Ellen: The Becoming Journal…> The purpose of the Journal is to write down your own story of Becoming….to chronicle your memories, your thoughts, your ideas, your impressions…because every story matters. Even yours, Ellen.
DeGeneres: Even mine…
Obama: What is your story?
DeGeneres: What is my story?
Together: What is my story?
Obama: Who are you Becoming?
