NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A Major League Baseball super agent, whose clients include the Mets' Pete Alonso, is facing charges for domestic violence.

According to TMZ, 50-year-old Matt Sosnick was arrested last week at his home in northern California.

Since then his wife has filed for divorce and gotten a temporary order of protection.

Court documents show Erica Sosnick told police that he grabbed her by the neck and threw her in front of their young daughter.

She said she crashed into a table as the 9-year-old watched.

Matt Sosnick reportedly texted his wife after his arrest, in violation of the protection order claiming he was going to kill himself, saying "my death is on you."
