NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A mother was arrested late Friday afternoon after she allegedly left her three-year-old son alone in a car outside a Target in College Point, Queens, the NYPD said.
Her son was found strapped into a car seat. Police reportedly responded to a 911 call made by a shopper who saw the child.
A police office broke the vehicle's window to get the child out.
The mother came out a short time later and was arrested.
The boy was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens to be evaluated.
There is no word on the charges against the unidentified woman.
