NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A motorcyclist was killed early Wednesday after he was struck by a vehicle in the Bronx, police said.
The incident occurred while both were traveling westbound on Bruckner Boulevard near White Plains Road just after 5 a.m. in the Soundview section.
Officials said a 43-year-old woman driving a Toyota Corolla rear-ended 25-year-old Simon Tavarez who was riding a Yamaha motorcycle.EMS rushed Tavarez to Jacobi Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.The driver of the Corolla remained on the scene.
Police have not filed any charges.
